Our firm is housed in a building designed by Harris Armstrong originally constructed to serve as the home and office of Dr. E. L. McCall. Harris Armstrong, a largely self-taught architect, and influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, was especially popular from 1930 – 1960 and designed numerous significant residential and commercial structures. His work is represented at Washington University, the Ethical Society and Kirkwood Community Center among others. In rehabbing the building, Poppen & Associates maintained the exterior lines while completely updating the interior to meet ADA requirements. The architectural specifications and the original blueprints are displayed at our office.
